Federal Metal's Equipment & Capabilities

The Federal Metal Company is one of the leading copper-based secondary smelters in North America and operates gas-fired rotary and coreless induction electric furnaces 24 hours per day from its 65,000 sq ft manufacturing headquarters. We also own and operate two other facilities nearby. Manufacturing capacity is greater than 1,500 MT per month.

The laboratory utilizes state-of-the-art optical emission (OE) and x-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometers, as well as an atomic absorption (AA) analyzer, a wet chemistry lab, and additional testing equipment for mechanical properties. Standards are traceable to NIST. In addition, there are multiple portable x-ray spectrometers on site.

We are registered to the ISO 9001:2008 quality standard and sell metal throughout the world.
