The Federal Metal Company is one of the leading copper-based
secondary smelters in North America and operates gas-fired rotary and coreless
induction electric furnaces 24 hours per day from its 65,000 sq ft manufacturing
headquarters. We also own and operate two other facilities nearby. Manufacturing
capacity is greater than 1,500 MT per month.
The laboratory utilizes state-of-the-art optical emission (OE)
and x-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometers, as well as an atomic absorption (AA)
analyzer, a wet chemistry lab, and additional testing equipment for mechanical
